Walking Daily with the Father

I believe that God interacts with His people on a daily basis. He desires to do that. Sure, we should see Him when we open our eyes, or dress ourselves, when we arrive at our destinations safely, and greet our family & friends. Yes, these are miracles we take for granted and we SHOULD give thanks to God for them. However, if at the end of the day, we cannot pinpoint a certain moment where there was a Yeshua-experience just for us, we have missed Him. I am going to start a series in which I detail those Yeshua Moments in my life and I hope you do the same. Let’s practice His presence. Let’s consciously choose to see Him in everything, everywhere! Here’s the point–“The more we focus on what He IS doing, the more of that He will do in our lives. If we focus on what He is NOT doing, He will NOT do anything–and it is not that He is Not doing anything, but that is all that you will see.” So let’s practice the presence of our God for the next 30 days and record them so that our spirits can be alive in Him. Let’s help to build one another’s faith and awaken our spiritual pores to the living Presence of our Abba. Come on! Let’s walk with the Father!

  1. True word. I will try to go on this very important journey. Indeed the L-rd is constantly speaking but we are/I am so busy with the things we/I want Him to do for us/me RIGHT NOW and can’t hear Him.

    • Someone said just the other day that we cannot dwell on the imminent return of the Lord all the time. There is no way that we can do that and do all the other things we must do. She said that our finiteness could not withstand that! All I know is that the Word says I must “love his appearing”! What does that mean? When we are newlyweds, our days are consumed with the thought of being w/ our spouses. After years of marriage, we don’t rush home as quickly. I know that the delay doesn’t mean we have fallen out of love, but I think that it does mean that in our familiarity we have lost the eagerness.

  2. Ora Titus says:

Without being overly spiritual and aloof to the humanity that we are clothed in; I couldn’t help but respond to your post. While it may appear that we can’t possibly, quote” cannot dwell on the imminent return of the Lord all the time. There is no way that we can do that and do all the other things we must do.”

I realize that many hold opposing views. When one says that we can not dwell in the forthcoming return of Christ; not to dwell is to not take a period of time at a given moment to communicate with the one who loves us more than life. We are not forfeiting the daily operations of one’s day.
But rather when one enters into the holy place to take that moment of time and commune with God you gain strength, wisdom, direction and love and the awesome ability of God to do all things both spiritually and naturally. He directs us in what to do, what to say, how to say it and that is what strengthens his very essence of who he is in our daily lives.
Therefore your connection in prayer in a given moment keeps you rapture ready. We are not praying with our head in the sky but our spirits are communing in our hearts with our heavenly father.

I believe this is living in the imminent return of our Lord, in your spirit you are preparing yourself for his return.

    • I understand your sentiment. But consider this — when His imminent return is my focus, it will make my living on earth that much more meaningful and successful. That means I will do all I can to speed that return, i.e, loving my neighbor, sharing the good news, being the best worker on my job, loving my husband, loving my children, etc. . . You must admit that we, even as believers, are so wrapped up in the hear-and-now that an imminent return of the Lord is not really within our immediate scope.

Is not prayer more than running into the inner sanctum somewhere to find strength. Isn’t it a life focused on the One who is the source of our lives . . . and the One our souls long for?
