It would seem that the Egyptian army would be a problem from the past. The Israelites were facing an old and a new problem. The Egyptian army is the old problem and although it seems overwhelming, the new problem (Red Sea) once solved will also solve the old one. Very interesting point. So what I got from this was that God says move forward. It is more important to move forward ‘right now’ than to address old problems which may seem bigger. We should try not to get ‘stuck’ brooding over old problems we could not solve before. Through moving forward we can find new solutions to old problems. That is the power of progression.
